Esports Media House (EMH) has officially acquired Here’s The Thing and will be the sole owner of the company moving forward. This move follows an announcement made back in September of last year regarding Esports Media House joining the ownership group of HTT.
James Cowan and Emma Kuldemir of Esports Media House plan to relaunch HTT in 2023 as part of their expansion plan.
Ben Scott, Co-Founder of Here’s The Thing, had some words to say about this decision and reflects on the past 3 years.
“I launched this company alongside a couple of really close friends, Alex and Freddie, back in July of 2019. We started Here’s The Thing with a purpose to tell the story of those involved in the Australasian esports space to the world, as well as improving esports journalism in our industry, and I’m proud of what we achieved in that time.”
“Whilst the last 12-18 months has been quiet for the company, mostly due to us all moving away from our prior roles in esports, I’m very happy with the agreement we have come to with Esports Media House. James and Emma are two people that I respect dearly and have a lot of time for - I can’t think of anyone better to pass the torch onto.”
“I’d like to give a special thanks to everyone who has connected with myself and the company over the past three years. It’s been one wild ride and I’ve learnt plenty.”
James Cowan, Director of Partnerships & Studio at Esports Media House, said in a statement “Emma and I are extremely proud to be continuing the work that Ben, Alex, Adam and Freddie started. Working alongside them for the last few months has been a pleasure, and we wish them all the best with their future endeavors ”
“HTT has been the pulse of esports news and coverage and we look forward to taking it to a new level in 2023,” finished James.
