Starting on the 14th of January, Click Management will be teaming up with a wide variety of global influencers in a campaign called #FightTheFires - with a goal of raising $1,000,000 AUD to help support the firefighters, communities and wildlife affected by the horrific bush fires burning in Australia.

In an official press release sent through by Click, their mission statement reads “we are looking for creators to do what they do best - create content. Whether it be spreading awareness through a video, a stream, a tweet or even an Instagram post - we need your help to say #FightTheFires and raise $1 million dollars for the Australian Bushfire Crisis.”

Grace Watkins, CEO of Click Management, added to this by stating "we hope this campaign highlights the power of social media creators to mobilise their audience for good. To see so many creators come together and encourage their audiences to be part of something bigger than themselves is an incredible example of youth leadership."

After raising a whopping $300,000 as the world welcomed the new year, the team have set their sights on the big seven figure target. Their call to action has included coining the #FightTheFires hashtag, and by using the massive Click network to have as many people involved as possible.

The money is going to be split three ways after the 24 hour fundraiser, to the following charity groups:

New South Wales Rural Fire Service (RFS):

The New South Wales Rural Fire Service is a volunteer-based firefighting agency and statutory body of the Government of New South Wales. The RFS has around 70,000 members, but most of them are performing unpaid work. Approximately 3,000 firefighters are on the ground every day battling blazes. Donations to the RFS will be shared nationally with other states.

WIRES:

WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.) has been rescuing and caring for native animals for over 30 years. Funds donated to WIRES will go to the rehabilitation, safety and care of wildlife affected by the fires.

Australian Red Cross:

Australian Red Cross' Disaster Relief and Recovery fund support individuals and families affected by the bushfires. Red Cross helps with long-term recovery programs, emergency assistance and evacuation centres/recovery hubs for communities affected. Please note - The Australian Red Cross is not affiliated with the American Red Cross and is operated by different entities.

For all those looking to get involved, the Click management team has put together a hit list of how exactly to get involved with the fundraiser:

•    Our primary call to action is #FightTheFires and donations through GoFundMe at fightthefires.com.

•    Bring awareness to the #FightTheFires campaign by creating content of ANY kind (e.g. This can be challenge-based videos, gameplay videos, pledging your earnings from said video to the cause, makeup tutorials, etc.).

•    Send a quick video message through to info@clickmgmt.com.au saying “I support #FightTheFires” - this will be used to create a montage to push more traction towards the GoFundMe.

•    You can find the assets for #FightTheFires here - https://bit.ly/300SuK2
