Pentanet.GG, a Perth based esports start-up that launched in November of last year, has today announced their starting roster for this season of the Oceanic Pro League, only one month after acquiring their OPL license

In a statement provided by Stephen Cornish, Founder and Managing Director of Pentanet.GG, it reads “our mission at Pentanet.GG is to develop a new wave of esports talent, with a long-term focus on bringing local West Australian talent from the community leagues all the way through to international competition. I’m extremely proud to have a wholly domestic team of Aussie gamers onboard for our inaugural OPL season."

“Here at Pentanet.GG we're creating a real career pathway for gamers to compete at the highest levels. Our League of Legends participation is just one avenue that our future players can aspire to, with a lot more to come,” Mr. Cornish finished.

Pentanet.GG OPL Roster:

Standing by Stephen’s statement of keeping the talent local, Pentanet.GG has acquired five Australian-based players that have already competed within the Oceanic Pro League. Most notably, they have picked-up Jake “Rogue” Sharwood, who was the Bomber’s Support last year and one of the Oceanic Representatives at the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational.

In their solo lanes, they have acquired OPL Rookie of the Year, Brandon “BioPanther” Alexander for their Top Lane, and his former Dire Wolves teammate, Jarod “getback” Tucker, for their Middle Lane.

Filling the Jungle role for Pentanet.GG is ORDER’s substitute Jungler for last season, Paris “SOULI” Sitzoukis. Although he was filling as a substitute, he was able to compete in a few games last year and is said to have been the understudy of Samuel “Spookz” Broadley, ORDER’s starting Jungler in 2019. SOULI will definitely be one to watch this year.

Accompanying Rogue in the bottom lane is Mark “Praedyth” Lewis, who was Legacy Esports’ ADC last year. Praedyth’s role swapped from the Top Lane to the ADC role at the start of 2019 and has obviously gained the respect of Rogue to have been selected as his ADC for this year.

Given Rogue’s role on previous teams, it’s expected that he will be the Team Captain coming into the 2020 season.

Pete Curulli, General Manager of Pentanet.GG, has said in a statement “We have a team! I’m so excited to welcome our inaugural OPL roster to Pentanet.GG for 2020. I’ve had a chance to speak to them a fair bit over the last couple of months both as a team and individually, and I’m really proud that they’ll be the first professional players to wear our colours.”

“There’s a high standard we’re aiming for at Pentanet.GG, and I’m confident that this group of guys have what it takes to set it and create a benchmark for new players joining our teams and leagues over time. Bring on split one,”  concluded Pete.

Pentanet.GG are set to debut in the Oceanic Pro League on January 31st.
