Australia's leading video games venue, Fortress, has today announced their partnership with one of the world's most famous esports circuits, BLAST - which will see Fortress deliver the region's first-ever Regional BLAST Premier Qualifier in 2022.
The Fortress OCE Masters will see four of the region's top teams fly to Melbourne following an online qualifier to compete in a LAN Final held in front of a live audience at the Alienware Arena, the world's largest fixed esports venue of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
The winner of this event will then qualify into the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown and from there they will have a chance to qualify for the World Final. BLAST Premier events will see top teams from around the world compete for a combined prize pool of $2,475,000 throughout 2022.
Mads Brown, COO of Fortress, spoke about Fortress’ excitement for this new found partnership and what the company is most looking forward to throughout the event.
