PC419’s esports division last night announced their partnership with Cooler Master, a computer hardware manufacturer which supplies computer parts and peripherals. It has been said that Cooler Master will be coming on as the organisation’s “major sponsor” for 2020.
PC419 are an Australian based brand which dedicates their time towards presenting their audience with the latest tips, tricks, news and reviews on the tech and gaming industries. Meanwhile, they also host a variety of competitive teams in the likes of Rainbow Six: Siege and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for their esports division.
In a brief statement posted online by PC419, it stated “we are so excited to be working with Cooler Master, and we feel privileged to be the only oceanic esports organization sponsored by them. We have so many exciting plans for the future and we can’t wait to share them with you all.”
Cooler Master has been a familiar brand in the local esports ecosystem, having hosted booths at the likes of PAX Australia and having been a long standing partner of local esports organisation, Dark Sided - which has since ended.
Leigh Borg, Founder and Director of PC419, said in a statement to us “our esports division started up in October of 2017. We started off with a CS:GO team who were competing in the amateur leagues, then slowly built our reputation and trust within the community, and eventually we have found ourselves in the position we are in today.”
“We cannot wait to see what this year holds for our esports division, and we will do everything in our power to cement our spot as one of Australia's leading esports organizations following this new partnership,” concluded Leigh.
News of this announcement follows the brands “seven days of announcements” campaign which is set to run for the first seven days of this year.
